Through the last few centuries, the society of human beings has grown innovatively with capitalism and globalization.

There have always been technologies that contribute to the growth. Since the internet appeared and network connections became available throughout the world, information has increased value in itself, and a variety of ways to convey information are available for most people.

Information technologies and its related industries hold the economic flow of this generation.

Now, state-of-the-art technologies and systems that will create the next generation are about to come into modern civilization.

Several technologies which include Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Blockchain, and Mixed Reality (MR) have already been implemented practically, and all of them will be more efficient mediums of information.

Among them, Mixed Reality is especially the one that attracts the most attention as a next-generation platform following smartphones.

In fact, according to the research by Global Market Insights, Inc. (2017)[1], the market of MR headsets is expected to reach over USD 35 billion by 2024 while their shipments are forecast to grow around 30%, comparing to the shipments in 2016.

Focusing on the market of Mixed Reality, this report defines its economic factors based on online research and analyze the prospective movements of the market.

“Mixed Reality is the idea that the merging of real and virtual worlds to produce new environments and visualizations where physical and digital objects co-exist and interact in real time” (Ueda, 2018)[2].
