[Core Bluetooth] BLEの通信速度が2Mbpsに向上する「Low Energy 2 Mbps」
Low Energy 2 Mbpsとは
WWDC 2019の「Whats' New in Core Bluetooth」セッションで、Low Energy 2 Mbps（LE 2 Mbps）という新機能の発表があった。
LE 2 MbpsはBluetooth 5.0の新機能で、物理層レート（Physical layer rate）が、互換性のあるデバイス間で1Mbpsから2Mbpsに向上する。
通信速度が高速化するだけでなく、電力効率も向上するとのこと。
利用方法
This is better yet transparent to the application. We will handle all of the link layer negotiations for you based on the platform you're on.
（これは、アプリケーションにとってより良いものであり、かつ透明なものです。私たちは、あなたが使っているプラットフォームに基づいて、リンク層の交渉をすべて処理します。）
とのことで、どうやらアプリケーション側でLE 2 Mbps向けの実装をしなくても、Core Bluetooth内部でよしなにやってくれるらしい。
ただし、アクセサリーを開発している場合、これが機能するためには、アクセサリーもLE 2 Mbpsをサポートしている必要がある。
この機能は、iPhone 8、8 Plus、iPhone X、Apple TV 4K、Apple Watch Series 4以降で利用できる。
Advertising extensions / Extended Scan / Extended Connections
LE 2 Mbpsに関連して、Advertising extensions / Extended Scan / Extended Connectionsという新機能も同セッションで紹介されている。
