Skitchの代替品としてのChrome拡張の「Capture」
はじめに
SkitchというEvernote社の画像編集アプリがあり、自分はHomebrewでインストールしていたのだが、いつの間にか使えなくなってしまった。
The livecheck block for skitch checks an appcast but this now returns a 403 (Forbidden) response. The homepage simply contains a "Download for Mac" button that points to the app on the Mac App Store. I don't see another way of checking for new versions, so this updates the livecheck block to skip the cask.
Removal of the appcast may be a signal that they're moving towards getting rid of the non-MAS version of Skitch (or getting rid of Skitch altogether) but the zip file still resolves for now. The MAS version hasn't been updated in three years and other platforms were deprecated at the end of 2015, so it's probably only a matter of time.

Chrome拡張の「Capture」というものを使うことにした。

Captureが1番手軽で高速でSkitchと同等の機能を果たすと感じた。
ソースコードは公開されていないものの、ソフトウェアエンジニア・UI/UXデザイナーである久保田光則 (id:anatoo)さんが制作したものであるため、使ってみることにした。
使い始めて1ヶ月ほど経っているが、今のところ何も困っていない。
画面のキャプチャにハイライトを加えたものを同僚で共有するとき等に重宝している。
Skitchの代替品をお探しの方は是非試してみて欲しい。
