こんにちは！
技術記事を書かないQiita・Zenn民の鑑ことLeoです。

今回は前回の記事で少し紹介したMac向けのタイリングウィンドウマネージャーの使い方をご紹介しようと思います。
日本語の記事が見つからなかったのでお役に立てれば幸いです。

AeroSpaceについて

AeroSpaceはLinuxのi3ライクなタイリングウィンドウマネージャー(TWM)です。

MacのTWMといえば、Yabaiが有名なようですが今回は自分が使っているこのTWMについて解説します。
自分はYabaiやAmethyst等は使ったことがないので比較記事ではありませんが、とても便利なのでこの記事を読んで良いと思った方はぜひ試してみてください！

インストール

今回の基本操作はターミナルで行います

1. Homebrewのインストール

AeroSpaceのインストールにはHomebrewが必要です。
インストールしていない方は以下の手順に沿ってインストールしてください。
インストール済みの方は2. AeroSpaceをインストールへ進んでください

ターミナルを開き、以下のコマンドをコピペしてください

/bin/bash -c "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/HEAD/install.sh)"

Xcode CommandLine Toolsがインストールされていない場合は上記のコマンド実行中にインストールするかというインストラクションが表示されますのでインストールしてください。
また、途中でパスワードが求められますのでMacのパスワードを入力してください。

Homebrewのインストール完了後、以下のコマンドを実行してください。
これを実行しないとHomebrewが使用できませんのでご注意ください。

terminal

eval "$(/opt/homebrew/bin/brew shellenv)"

以上でHomebrewのインストールは完了です。
新しいタブを開くか、ターミナルを再起動してください。

2. AeroSpaceをインストール

ターミナルで以下のコマンドを実行してください。

brew install --cask nikitabobko/tap/aerospace

3. Configファイルの作成

AeroSpaceの設定は全てtomlファイルに記述します。

まず、Configファイル用のフォルダを作成します。
以下のコマンドを実行し、移動してください。

cd ~/.config/aerospace

次にAeroSpaceのConfigファイルを作成します。

4. Configファイルの編集

Configファイルを開き、編集します。
お好きなエディタで開いてください。

Open in Default Editor

open aerospace.toml

Open in Vim

vi aerospace.toml

Configファイルを開いたら編集していきます。
基本的には公式ページのConfigをコピペすればOKです！

特定のアプリを特定のワークスペースに自動的に移動させる設定

まず、AeroSpaceと設定したいアプリをを起動した状態でターミナルで以下のコマンドを実行します。

aerospace list-apps

出てきたアプリのIDをコピーします。

上記の場合に、Arcの設定をしたい場合はcompany.thebrowser.BrowserがIDになります。

次にaerospace.tomlを開き、以下のように付け加えます。

↑の設定は、Arcが開かれた際に自動的にワークスペースAに移動させるという設定です。

ウィンドウをフルスクリーンにするためのキーバインドの設定

フルスクリーン表示のためのキーバインドは以下のように設定できます。

alt-shitf-f = 'fullscreen'

上記のキーバインドだとワークスペースFを使用しているとコンフリクトを起こす可能性があるので左辺のalt-shift-fを変更するのもありかもしれません。

MissionControlウィンドウのサイズを修正

AeroSpaceを起動しているとMissionControlを起動した際に、各ウィンドウが非常に小さく表示されてしまいます。これを修正するには以下の指示に従ってください。

システム設定 -> デスクトップとドック -> Mission Control -> アプリケーション別にウィンドウをグループ化をオン

これで修正できます。

使い方

基本操作

今回設定したキーバインドをもとに説明します。

ワークスペース間を移動

⌥ + 任意のワークスペースキー(1~9, hjklを除くa~z)

アプリを任意のワークスペースに移動

Shift + ⌥ + 任意のワークスペースキー(1~9, hjklを除くa~z)

ワークスペース内でのアプリフォーカスの切り替え

⌥ + h(左) j(下) k(上) l(右)

タイリングサイズ変更

ウィンドウサイズを大きくする

Shift + ⌥ + =

ウィンドウサイズを小さくする

Shift + ⌥ + -

レイアウト変更

レイアウトを縦横に変更

Shift + /

レイアウトをアコーディオン形式に変更(日本語が難しい。画面の奥にウィンドウが並びます(?))

その他にも操作はありますが、今回は割愛します。（後で付け加えるかも？）

まとめ

いかがでしたでしょうか？
今までLoopやRectangleなどのWM、AutoRaiseを使用してウィンドウフォーカスを快適に、なんて色々なことをやってきましたがこのAeroSpaceを見つけてTWMの魅力に気付かされました。

最近はできる限りマウス・トラックパッドを使用せずにMacを操作することを意識しているのでAeroSpaceはそんな状況にうってつけのアプリでした！

設定が少し難しかったり、慣れるまでに時間がかかったりするかもしれませんが、それ以上に快適なMac生活を送ることができるようになりますので気になる方はぜひ試してみてください！
