Why AI-Generated Content Tends Toward the Median

I recently tried writing an article about recommended operating systems using AI.

It recommended Mac for beginners.

While that is certainly a better and more common choice...

What I wanted to write about was how Linux is recommended, not Mac.
I kept it in since it is a better choice, but still...

I worry that writing articles with AI in the current landscape will just lead to content that settles at the median or average of the web.

Is that why I read in some note that "the quality of an article must be interesting"?
